Ford F-150
The 2021 Ford F-150 offers six different engines, resulting in a wide range of towing capabilities. You'll also get different performance abilities based on the axle ratio and if you choose a regular cab, SuperCab™, or SuperCrew™ configuration.
At the lower end of the spectrum is the 290-horsepower 3.3-liter V6. This engine lets you tow 5,000-8,200 pounds depending on the configuration you pick. At the higher end of the spectrum is the mighty 400-horsepower 3.5-liter EcoBoost® V6, which can tow up to 14,000 pounds with the Max Trailer Tow Package. In the middle are V8, turbodiesel, hybrid, and 2.7-liter engines that can pull between 7,600-13,000 pounds.
Ford Super Duty
No matter which 2021 Ford Super Duty model you choose, you're going to get truly massive towing capabilities. At the absolute minimum, you can count on more than 12,000 pounds of pull from the standard 6.2-liter flex-fuel V8 - no matter which cab configuration, axle ratio, or Super Duty model you choose.
The 7.3-liter V8 really brings the muscle: 21,200 pounds of max towing strength with a dual-rear-wheel configuration and 5th-wheel/gooseneck equipment. Still need more power? With those same configurations, the 6.7-liter Power Stroke® V8 turbodiesel can tug an astounding maximum of 37,000 pounds.
