Things to Do in
Vernal
If you live in or are visiting Vernal, you better love the
outdoors. There is so much to do outside, but perhaps the most popular activity
is rafting on our active rivers. Set out for the day with Don Hatch River
Expeditions, Holiday River Expeditions, or Dinosaur River Expeditions-you're
guaranteed to have a day of water-themed fun.
Vernal is home to beautiful landscapes. If you're up for an
adventure, go check out the incredible formations at Fantasy Canyon, hike the
loop trail at Sheep Creek Geological Loop, or make the trip out to the
Moonshine Arch. Or you could just spend the day at Red Fleet State Park. The views are truly stunning. If you're interested in
history, stop by John Jarvie Ranch or McConkie Ranch or spend an afternoon at
the Uintah County Heritage Museum.
Catch dinosaur fever by visiting the Pink Brontosaurus
landmark or the Seasonally Decorated Dinosaur. You can learn more about dinos
and other species at the Utah Field House of Natural History State Park.
